e.tv again looking for TV documentary proposals from independent producers.

e.tv is once again looking for half-hour TV documentary proposals from independent producers about unique and compelling stories about a person or a group of people from South Africa.

The proposals must deal with a subject that is thought-provoking and entertaining, says e.tv, and feature characters that are layered and engaging, and hold appeal for a national audience.

The documentaries with a budget of R190 800 each for 23 minutes, will be broadcast on Sundays on e.tv and target all viewers and can be told in vernacular languages, with English subtitles.

Only producers based in the Eastern Cape, Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, Western Cape and North West can submit proposals.

As before, e.tv wants a detailed treatment of the proposed documentary; a description of the locations where the documentary is to be shot and the names of individuals to be interviewed; proposed name(s) of the presenter or commentator, if any; a production budget incorporating a detailed description on personnel, equipment and resource requirements; and information which confirms that the key personnel working on the documentary are based in the province concerned.

The closing date is 21 September 2018 and more information can be requested and proposals send to documentaries@etv.co.za before the closing date.
