ANN7's billboards are up to market the new 24-hour South African TV news channel starting Wednesday ... but no Chantal Rutter Dros.

Thebig  billboards are up for ANN7 (DStv 405) launching on Wednesday on MultiChoice's DStv satellite pay-TV platform as South Africa's third 24-hour TV news channel.

Interestingly, no Chantal Rutter Dros. Channeling your talent on billboards, in this case Chantal Rutter Dros who will be front and centre on ANN7 as the prime time anchor of ANN7 Headlines between 19:00 and 20:00 and ANN Prime between 20:00 and 21:00, is usually the strongest marketing tool in terms of effective brand building.

Not putting your actual talent - especially for a TV news channel - on an expensive billboard is the same as a shop's storefront window not putting in its premium window display actually anything of the goods which it is selling inside.

Hopefully billboard passers-by see and remember at least some of the ANN7 logo. (Since even the actual channel number is too small to really see in a passing glance).
