BREAKING. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno returns to CNBC Africa's schedule from March with a primetime timeslot.

You're reading it here first.

More than two years after it dumped the show, CNBC Africa (DStv 410) is not only returning The Tonight Show with Jay Leno but will be giving it a primetime timeslot  of 21:00 from March when the weekday American late night talk show returns to the money channel.

CNBC Africa that dumped The McLaughlin Group, The Tonight Show, the Late Night with Conan O'Brien and The NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams and Meet the Press, returned the NBC Nightly News and Meet the Press in July last year. Now The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will be back from March after pressure from viewers and journalists.

CNBC Africa that is restructuring its staff and consequently its daily programme line-up, is giving the show the primetime berth of 21:00, meaning that it will be getting rid of some of its local programming and specials that used to be broadcast in that hour timeslot. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will start with the latest season.
