I can reveal that SABC3 is dumping Days of Our Lives, with the weekday soap moving to SABC2 from 21 February at 16:40 on weekdays so that SABC3 can broadcast the 10th Cricket World Cup.
I told you yesterday RIGHT HERE that the SABC is set to announce its broadcast coverage plan tomorrow and that it will involve major schedule disruptions for SABC3. Getting rid of Days of Our Lives is one of them. I can also tell you that this was not intially planned, but that Days of Our Lives is getting short-dumped on SABC2 that is having to readjust it schedule for February and March.
SABC2 confirmed the Days dumping when I asked, and says '' schedule change notification will follow shortly'', meaning that people will be told Days of Our Lives is indeed moving channels. I can reveal that Days of Our Lives will definitely be on at 16:40 from 21 February until at least 1 April, after which it will move back to SABC3.
