SuperSport ''disappointed'' with presenter Crystal Arnold's Playboy centrefold appearance but says there's been ''no suspension, no axing''.

SuperSport tells me that it's not concerned but ''disappointed'' with its topless SuperSport presenter Crystal Arnold in the June issue of Playboy SA magazine.

And it's not because Crystal Arnold appears several shades lighter than what the SuperSport presenter looks in real life.

SuperSport tells me that Crystal Arnold - who is a presenter and therefore represents the ''face'' (and now some more) and therefore part of the image of the channel - did not ask permission to do the topless pictorial. SuperSport insiders tell me bosses are angry, as well as other other SuperSport employees who mostly feel that Crystal Arnold is ''damaging something by not thinking about the repercussions of her actions as a centrefold for all the rest of us,'' as one put it.

''It's business as usual at SuperSport,'' Clinton van der Berg, SuperSport communications manager, told me yesterday. ''There has been no door-slamming, no suspension, no axing. Crystal Arnold remains a fixture at SuperSport,'' he says.
