Moja Love's Ntsiki Mazwai in ugly attack on SABC's Morning Live anchor Leanne 'Manna' as the veteran anchor celebrates her 15th TV anniversary.

The Moja Love (DStv 157) presenter Ntsiki Mazwai launched an ugly and vitriol-filled Twitter-attack on the SABC's veteran Morning Live anchor Leanne Manas on Thursday as Manas celebrated 15 years on-air, with Mazwai that slammed South Africa's most-watched morning show star who she called "Manna", as "completely ignorant" and saying she's "not African".

In a series of shocking outbursts aimed at the highly-respected Leanne Manas who've fronted Morning Live on SABC2 for a decade and a half and stayed on after the unexpected death of her co-host Vuyo Mbuli, the Moja Love's Show Me Love panellist slammed Leanne saying she's "completely ignorant on black culture - this is straight white privilege in action".

"I don't think Leanne Manna is amazing at her job - I think she is just white. And enjoying privilege. She can't even speak indigenous languages. She is not African," wrote Ntsiki, spelling Manas as "Manna".

"Is Leanne the best news host we have?" she continued.

In September 2018 she called Leanne Manas "mediocre".

Leanne Manas responded, deliberately subverting Mazwai's name as well, saying: "Good morning Ntiski. It's “Manas” and everyone is entitled to an opinion and a place in this country. I respect your views".

Moja Love on Thursday afternoon in response to a media enquiry told TVwithThinus that "The views expressed by Ntsiki Mazwai are not those of the channel and were expressly made by Ntsiki Mazwai in her personal capacity".

"Moja Love values, loves and respects all South Africans and we celebrate all the diversity that enriches our country. We do not condone any form of discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, religion, gender, race, culture or in any other form."

"We would like to wish Leanne Manas a happy 15th work anniversary and a wonderful Women’s Month."

On Thursday viewers lept to Manas' defence.
