TV NEWS ROUND-UP. Today's interesting TV stories to read from TVwithThinus - 8 February 2019.

Here's the latest news about TV that I read and that you should read too:

■ eNCA (DStv 403), eMedia Investment's TV news channel on MultiChoice's DStv, has lost its edge.
Chris Moerdyk reiterates what TVwithThinus pointed out has been happening for a while now.

■ Petition started to try and save The Bold and the Beautiful from being dumped by the SABC and SABC3.

■ Relationship between Cricket South Africa and SuperSport at an all-time low.
Utter breakdown of trust as SuperSport tries to set up meetings that are rebuffed by Cricket SA.

■ Everyone looked miserable inside Sky News (DStv 402) when the British TV news channel streamed the inner workings of its editorial offices for a day to mark its 30th anniversary.

■ After promising to finish it by end February, parliament's portfolio committee is now looking at 12 February to start the process of replacing SABC board vacancies.
The shortlisting of SABC board candidates would provisionally take place on 12 February, with interviews on 26 and 27 February, and a report with preferred candidates settled on 5 March.

■ At last - a diverse BBC travel show in the form of Africa with Ade Adepitan.

■ Danie Henning (33) shocked to death on the roof while trying to fix the DStv.

■ Shoddy organisation and poor crowd control at auditions for the latest upcoming season of Big Brother Naija in Nigeria.
MultiChoice Nigeria and M-Net West Africa had no proper procedure for admitting the thousands of people queueing in Abuja into the premises, as traffic snarled and many people simply decided to give up and leave blaming DStv for the badly-organised mess.

■ MultiChoice faces a complaint to the South African broadcasting regulator, Icasa, before its planned listing on the JSE.
