Netflix acquires global rights to The Red Sea Diving Resort, filmed in South Africa, for release later in 2019 with Chris Evans and Ben Kingsley.


Netflix has acquired the global rights (excluding China) for Gideon Raff's The Red Sea Diving Resort with Chris Evans and Sir Ben Kingsley that will be released worldwide on the video streaming service later in 2019.

The Red Sea Diving Resort was filmed in South Africa.

The film with Chris EvansHaley Bennett, Alessandro Nivola and Sir Ben Kingsley is the incredible story of a group of Mossad agents and brave Ethiopians who in the early 1980s used a deserted holiday retreat in Sudan as a front to smuggle thousands of refugees to Israel.

Chris Evans plays Ari Kidron, the Mossad agent who leads the mission together with courageous local Kabede Bimro, played by Michael Kenneth Williams. The cast also includes Michiel Huisman, Chris Chalk and Greg Kinnear.

The Red Sea Diving Resort is a BRON Studios, Emjag, G.Raff Productions film in association with Creative Wealth Media. Netflix will release the film later this year.
