Bonang Matheba with multiple outfit changes including sparkling gowns and figure-hugging dresses was the host of the 2018 DStv Mzansi Viewers' Choice Awards for the second time, with 13 awards handed out during the live broadcast of two hours of which she won Favourite Personality of the Year.
The Queen actress Thembsie Matu portraying the mouthy housekeeper Patronella won the night's big award, the Ultimate Viewers' Choice award, while Rebecca Malope who also performed during the night, was bestowed the Legend Award.
The 2018 DStv Mzansi Viewers' Choice Awards included music performances by Kwesta, Sjava, Bucie, Sun-El Musician, Mlindo, Sho Madjozi, Dumi Mkokstad, Ntokozo Mbambo and Khaya Mthethwa, Mafikizolo with vocalist Nhlanhla Nciza, DJ Maphorisa with Moonchild and Zulu Mkhathini, among many others.
The Life Changer Award went to the mechanic Moss Lehlokoa teaching young people panel beating in Diepsloot.
