HOW YOU DOIN? Jerry O'Connell stepping in as guest host for The Wendy Williams Show from next week; talk show host says she'll return 19 March.

The American talk show host Wendy Williams (53) has announced that she will be back from 19 March from her 3 week holiday to deal with medical issues and is also announcing that Jerry O'Connell will be stepping in as her guest host from next week.

After telling her studio audience that she would never allow a guest host on her weekday talk show on BET (DStv 129), Wendy Williams, currently in repeats, have had a change of heart.

On 21 February Wendy Williams abruptly ended her talk show, telling viewers she's taking time off to get her existing medicine out of her system before being put on new medication for her hyperthyroidism and Grave's disease.

In a new statement Wendy Williams says she will return on 19 March and that her show will have its first guest host ever. "Jerry has been such a good friend to me and to the show. We're happy to welcome him as a guest host while I’m out getting much needed rest. Can’t wait to get back in my purple chair!"

Jerry O'Connell (44) in the statement says "I'm excited to help out and fill in. We all know nobody can fill the purple chair like Wendy, but I am honoured to sit with her co-hosts and to bring the many fans all the Hot topics they love. Like Wendy tells us, 'I am going to Say It Like I Mean It".
