New The Star Wars Show starts on Wednesdays with Andi Gutierrez and Peter Townley; will share news weekly regarding the space saga.

The Star Wars Show has started as  a brand-new weekly show but viewers will only be able to watch it online with a new episode every Wednesday, presented by Andi Gutierrez, StarWars.com's digital communications manager and actor-fanboy Peter Townley.

In style, the new Star Wars Show is very much like Game of Thrones' additional show After the Thrones currently seen in M-Net Edge (DStv 102) and The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead's aftershow on AMC (DStv 140 / StarSat 115), Talking Dead.

The Star Wars Show, with its set built in an old copy room at the Lucasfilm offices in San Francisco's Presidio National Park and filled with Star Wars memorabilia, recaps the latest news about the space saga, and includes interviews with superfans and guest celebrities.

On a weekly basis The Star Wars Show, produced by Lucasfilm and Disney, will share never-before-seen footage, behind-the-scenes looks and comedy sketches, and cover news regarding all the Star Wars films, books, comics, video games, toys, as well as fan art and culture.

The Star Wars Show can be watched on YouTube, as well as through the official Star Wars app for Android and iOS, as well as through Facebook and Twitter.

"There's an abundance of Star Wars news and information right now and for the foreseeable future," says Mickey Capoferri, senior director of content and programming at Lucasfilm.

"The Star Wars Show will be the place for new and old fans to engage with every aspect of the franchise in fun and authentic ways".

"This is not an infomercial. It's to inform and entertain fans without pushing things on them."
