Self-proclaimed psychic Julia Theunissen, daughter of Marietta Theunissen, gets a show in which the bereaved looks for closure, as VIA looks for ratings.

A woman who calls herself a psychic, Julia Theunissen and who is the daughter of the other self-proclaimed South African psychic, Marietta Theunissen is getting her own TV show like her mother.

Tussen Twee Wêrelde (Between Two Worlds) will start on the Afrikaans female lifestyle channel VIA (DStv 147) on Friday 11 March at 16:30.

Her mother Marietta Theunissen had the show Die Ander Kant on kykNET (DStv 144) in the previous decade.

Julia Theunissen claims she will make "contact" with dead people while the cameras roll on people struggling with the loss of loved ones and looking for closure. "I want to help them find closure," says Julia Theunissen.

Marietta Theunissen will appear at the end of every episode of Tussen Twee Wêrelde and talk to her daughter "about the day" and what stood out for her about the guests and their stories.

VIA says Julia Theunissen's show "signifies the birth of a new generation of psychic mediums".
