Sky News on DStv investigated by the British broadcasting regulator for business presenter Ian King's f-bomb on live TV.

Sky News (DStv 402) dropping the f-word on viewers, - the incident also heard on MultiChoice's DStv satellite pay-TV platform which carries the British 24-hour TV news channel - will be investigated by the British broadcasting regulator.

Sky News business presenter Ian King uttered the "f" expletive on live TV on Sky News on 30 July and before the watershed time period.

The British regulator Ofcom will now investigate whether Ian King's f-bomb on live TV is in breach of the broadcasting code.

Ian King uttered the F-word during a live interview with economist Michelle Meyer about interest rates in the United States. He blamed his microphone falling out of his ear for the outburst.

"Ofcom is investigating this programme, which included the most offensive language before the 21:00 watershed," says Ofcom in a statement.
