Although the commercial break graphics still show Days of Our Lives, what South African viewers on SABC3 are really seeing at the moment is an episode of the American game show Minute to Win It.
Sources tell TV with Thinus that SABC3 doesn't have a Days of Our Lives episode to show since tapes from the distributor didn't arrive in time.
It's not clear what will happen on Tuesday with SABC3's Days of Our Lives timeslot - or for the rest of the week for that matter.
SABC3 says "that due to a delay from the United States, today's episode of Days of Our Lives will not be aired".
During the episode SABC3 ran a blue on-air scroll with yellow letters and missing a word and a full stop: "We apologise for not showing your favourite soapie Days of Our Lives All will sorted out in due course."
A few minutes later SABC3 ran the blue scroll again, with better wording:
"We apologise for not showing your favourite soapie Days of Our Lives. It will be back on air tomorrow."
