BREAKING. Sky News on an awesome Antarctica adventure with explorer Robert Swan to see how the frozen continent is changing.


Sky News (DStv 402) is on an awesome Antarctica adventure of a lifetime and viewers are with for the ride with Tom Rayner, Sky News' Middle East editor and the London based cameraman Chris Pearson who have joined the International Antarctic Expedition 2013 led by Robert Swan, to the frozen continent.

Robert Swan, the first man to walk to the North and the South Poles solo, is taking a group of international young people from business, industry and academia on a "pilgrimage" to Antarctica as part of the 10th International Antarctica Expedition and Tom Rayner and Chris Pearson are joining him on assignment for a glimpse of how the frozen world of Antarctica is already being impacted by global warming.

"Having a chance to visit Antarctica is incredible, but having the opportunity to ask the questions of the experts and future decision-makers of big industry is even more exciting," says Tom Rayner.  "Climate change is a big issue and we've got an ambitious plan for how we'll report the expedition - putting social media and our digital journalism at the heart of our coverage."

The amazing Antarctica adventure involves a hike up the Martial Glacier, Ushuaia before departing on the Sea Spirit, crossing Drake Passage, bound for the Antarctic Peninsula.

Viewers will be able to follow it all and the incredible journey with Tom Rayner and Chris Pearson on Sky News.
