Programming notes: M-Net grabs The Americans; new seasons of Grey's Anatomy, Touch and Modern Family starting in February.

M-Net has nabbed the broadcasting rights for the new upcoming spy drama The Americans which the pay-TV broadcaster originally scheduled to start on 24 January, but the first season of which will now be starting on 7 February at 21:30.

Last month when the starting date of The Americans with Keri Russell was shifted later in America, I told M-Net and asked what would be happening and whether The Americans would therefore be starting in South Africa before it's shown in the United States (which never happens). M-Net got back to me to say the show will be moved on to February and a new starting date.

Besides The Americans, February sees the return of Grey's Anatomy to M-Net for the 9th season on 11 February at 19:30 and the second season of Touch on 18 February at 21:30 (with the additional episode filmed during the first season which wasn't shown here).

M-Net also has Great Escape starting on 8 February at 19:30, Modern Family's 5th season starting on 13 February at 19:30, the second season of Two Broke Girls starting on 13 February at 20:00 and the 4th season of NCIS: Los Angeles starting on 2 February at 20:30.
