BREAKING. Subscriptions of TopTV bouquets to increase from 1 July as pay TV operator hike its prices with between 6% and 8%.

There is no official announcement from TopTV yet, but On Digital Media (ODM) that runs South Africa's second pay TV service that just turned one year old in May will increase the prices of all its monthly subscription bouquets except the lowest one from 1 July.

TopTV that haven't added any channels as promised by the CEO Vino Govender besides an Indian bouquet, TopStar that has an separate subscription (that will also increase) and three other channels in October 2010, will be increasing the monthly subscription fee on all of it's bouquets, except for the cheapest subscription option which will remain at R99.

From 1 July TopTV's subscriptions will increase with the ''Variety, Kids and Music'' and ''Variety, Entertainment and Knowledge'' packages that will both increase from R159 to R169 per month.
''Variety, Kids & Music, Entertainment & Knowledge'' will be increased from R189 to R199.
The ''Variety, Kids & Music, Ultimate Movies'' and ''Variety, Kids & Music, Entertainment & Knowledge, Ultimate Movies'' packages will both be increased from R219 to R239 per month.

Top top bouquet, ''Variety, Kids & Music, Entertainment & Knowledge, Ultimate Movies'' will be increased from R249 to R269 per month. Subscribers who pay for the additional Indian Top Star bouquet will pay R69 instead of R60 from July.

TopTV has not indicated that any new channels will be added before or during July.
